History and Timeline
Fort Bend Christian Academy, one of the largest private schools in Houston, began as Sugar Creek Baptist Church School (SCBCS) in September of 1987 with one teacher and seven kindergarten students. In 1992, the school changed its name to Fort Bend Baptist Academy (FBBA) and incorporated as an independent Christian school.
Because of rapid growth over the next 19 years, FBBA added middle and upper school buildings, an athletic complex and additional office and classroom space to its 35-acre campus.
In the summer of 2011, FBBA announced its official name change to Fort Bend Christian Academy, a name that represents who we are as a school, committed to our founding core Christian beliefs and principles and serving the entire Christian community.
It is our continual desire to serve and honor God in all that we do, fulfilling our mission and inspiring students to excellence for the glory of God.
