Announcing the New FBCA Head of School

Announcing the New FBCA Head of School
FBCA

Fort Bend Christian Academy (FBCA) is thrilled to introduce Dr. Jahna Duda as FBCA’s next Head of School.

Dr. Duda brings more than two decades of experience in Christian education, serving in roles that have included classroom teacher, curriculum and instruction leader, principal, senior academic administrator, and head of school. Most recently, she has served as Head of School at Rockford Christian School in Northern Illinois, where she has led a preschool-12th grade community of approximately 650 students. During her tenure, she has guided strategic planning, strengthened academic programming, partnered with the board, cultivated donor relationships, and led initiatives designed to strengthen the school’s long-term health and stability.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Duda has gained a broad perspective on what it takes to build a healthy, thriving Christian school. From academics and faculty development to enrollment, financial stewardship, strategic planning, biblical worldview integration, and partnership with boards and families, she brings both experience and a deep appreciation for the many people and pieces that make a school community flourish. She has also contributed to the broader Christian education community through CESA and ACSI accreditation work and ongoing engagement with organizations serving Christian schools.

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Duda is deeply committed to her family. She and her husband, Bret, have been married for 27 years. They are the proud “dog parents” of Eudoris, a Belgian Malinois. Bret is a retired HVAC technician and former sheriff reserve deputy who has served on several church security teams. He also spent ten years in tactical training with Canine Tactical, where he originally met Eudoris.

While her professional experience is significant, equally important is Dr. Duda’s deep love for Christ and her conviction that Christian education is about far more than academic excellence. Her leadership has consistently reflected a commitment to spiritual formation, biblical worldview integration, student leadership, meaningful parent engagement, and service to others.

Dr. Duda and her family are excited about becoming part of the FBCA community, and we are equally excited to welcome them. We believe God has been faithfully preparing Dr. Duda for this opportunity and FBCA for this next chapter.

FBCA is deeply grateful for God’s provision throughout this search and for the way He has led Dr. Duda to FBCA. The Board of Trustees is also excited about the leadership, experience, wisdom, and genuine heart for Christian education that she will bring to our school community.

We look forward to welcoming her to Fort Bend Christian Academy in February 2027.
