FBCA Students Honored in Prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Fort Bend Christian Academy is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its student artists and writers who have been recognized in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards—one of the nation’s most prestigious programs for creative teens.

Evaluated by a panel of accomplished creative professionals, FBCA students’ works were recognized for excellence in originality, technical skill, and the development of a distinct artistic voice. Collectively, FBCA students earned multiple Gold Keys, Silver Keys, and Honorable Mentions—an extraordinary accomplishment that highlights both their talent and dedication to their craft.

Since 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have honored some of the nation’s most influential artists and writers during their teenage years, including Stephen King, Amanda Gorman, Andy Warhol, and Joyce Carol Oates. FBCA is honored to see its students join the ranks of such distinguished alumni, reflecting the strength of its fine arts program and commitment to cultivating creativity.

The Gold and Silver Key-winning works were on public display at the Houston Public Library from February 13 through March 15, and showcased the remarkable talents of students across the region.

National Student Awards Notification Day occurred on February 26, and students learned if their work was advanced to the national level. The Regional Awards Ceremony is to be held on March 26 at the Wortham Center, where students will be celebrated and their work exhibited.

At FBCA, we recognize that these achievements are not only a reflection of artistic excellence, but also of perseverance, discipline, and the God-given talents entrusted to each student. We are deeply grateful for the dedication of our faculty—especially Mr. Sanders and Mr. Baptiste—who faithfully mentor and inspire our students to pursue excellence for God’s glory.

We celebrate these students’ accomplishments with great pride and look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to use their gifts in the years ahead.
