District Champions Varsity Football Caps Strong Playoff Run
The Fort Bend Christian Academy varsity football team wrapped up an impressive playoff campaign, advancing to the third round of the postseason after securing the district championship with a perfect 5-0 record. The Eagles finished the season with a 8-5 overall record, marking another strong year for the program.
The Eagles began their playoff journey with a commanding 79-7 victory over St. Anthony on Nov. 14. Displaying a balanced attack on offense and a dominant defensive performance, Fort Bend Christian left no doubt in the first-round matchup.
In the second round, Fort Bend faced a tougher challenge against The Woodlands Christian Academy on Nov. 23. The Eagles emerged victorious in a high-scoring affair, defeating TWCA 45-38. Key offensive contributions and late-game resilience helped secure the win and a spot in the state semifinals.
Fort Bend Christian’s season came to an end on Nov. 30 in a matchup against Second Baptist. The Eagles fell 35-16 to the district rival, closing the book on their playoff run. Despite the loss, the team’s efforts highlighted their strength and perseverance throughout the season.
The Eagles’ district championship and deep playoff run reflect the hard work and dedication of the players and coaching staff. They now look ahead to building on this year’s success - next season.
