Eagles WIN at 2025 CCA Cheer Champ!

The 2025 CCA Cheer Camp was a huge success! Varsity Coach Crystal Webster, Middle School Coach Shannon Sommer, and Spirit Program Director Chelsie Scheffer recently led our Varsity and Middle School cheer teams at the CCA camp held at East Texas Baptist University earlier this month. They not only came home with fuller hearts, but a whole lot of hardware!

FBCA Cheer swept evaluations and earned several awards throughout the camp. Both Varsity and Middle School not only earned four "Spirit Spouts," they also received four blue ribbons each- the highest achievement available for cheer and routine evaluations. To top it off, both teams were named Camp Champs in their respective divisions! 

For Varsity: Joellie Cadiz, Morgan Carter, and Presley Patterson received All-Star awards, and Ava Grace Olson was named Outstanding Athlete. 

For Middle School: Piper Johnson was named Outstanding Athlete. 

Our athletes also dominated the individual competitions, facing off with an all-FBCA Jump-Off finals between Joellie Cadiz, Cathy Huang, and Morgan Carter for Varsity, and Breanna Aguenu and Tori Nehls for Middle School. Morgan Carter and Tori Nehls were named Jump-Off winners. Addy Webster won the individual award for tumbling. Kendall Tiernan and Emma McIntyre took home two "Spirit Spouts" as FBCA mascots! 

This year’s cheer camp wasn’t just about skill-building, stunts and spirit; it was about fellowship and faith. Our varsity and middle school Eagles had the opportunity to pray and connect with amazing squads from Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Congratulations to our cheerleaders and mascots for an unforgettable week filled with hard work, victory, and faith in action. We couldn’t be prouder!
