Fort Bend Christian Academy is excited to share that Natasha Rodriguez, FBCA’s Director of Information Technology and current Middle School Girls Basketball Coach, will also serve as the new Head Coach of the Upper School Girls Basketball team.

A Houston native, Rodriguez brings a deep-rooted passion for the game and an inspiring commitment to student development. A proud graduate of St. Pius X High School and the University of Houston, she holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Global Business Leadership. While her collegiate playing career at the Division II and Division I levels was cut short by injury, her love for basketball has never wavered.

“Basketball has been a part of my life since I could walk—it shaped me, taught me how to lead, speak up, and pursue excellence in every area of life,” Rodriguez said. “I am incredibly excited and honored to step into the role of head women’s basketball coach here at FBCA. I want to thank FBCA for giving me this opportunity to not only lead young women in the game of basketball, but also in their personal relationships with Jesus. I can’t wait to get started and see what we can achieve as a team.”

Rodriguez’s coaching philosophy centers around building a strong, values-driven culture where student-athletes are empowered to grow as individuals and as a team. Her vision emphasizes a team-first mindset rooted in servant leadership, accountability, and faith.

“Our goal is not only to be athletically competitive, academically successful, and socially responsible,” she said, “but also to do so with discipline rooted in strong values and faith as our foundation. We strive to honor God in how we train, how we treat one another, and how we carry ourselves both on and off the court.”

Rodriguez has already made a meaningful impact on FBCA’s basketball program through her leadership of the Middle School Girls team and is now eager to continue building on that foundation at the Upper School level.

FBCA Director of Athletics Richard Lazarou shared his enthusiasm for Rodriguez’s expanded role:
“Coach Rodriguez is an exceptional leader who brings not only a competitive spirit and technical expertise, but a deep commitment to Christ-centered mentorship. Her vision to develop young women both as athletes and as disciples of Christ aligns beautifully with the mission of Fort Bend Christian Academy. I am confident she will lead with integrity, purpose, and faith—and I look forward to seeing how God will use her in this role.”

Please join us in celebrating Coach Rodriguez as she leads with passion, purpose, and a Christ-centered vision into this new season.
