FBCA Appoints Danielle Bass as Varsity Volleyball Coach

Fort Bend Christian Academy is excited to share that Danielle Bass will serve as the new Head Coach of the Upper School Varsity Volleyball team.

Danielle Bass is Catalyst Volleyball’s Master Coach and the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Faith West Academy. Most recently receiving the honor to be named TAPPS 2A District 7, 2024–2025 Volleyball Coach of the Year for her outstanding leadership and impact at Faith West.

A versatile player herself, Danielle specialized as both a setter and outside hitter during high school before being recruited as a collegiate setter at the University of Dallas. Once with the program, she transitioned to middle blocker — giving her a unique perspective on multiple positions and the ability to coach athletes with a well-rounded understanding of the game.

Bass' coaching philosophy is rooted in strong Christian morals, emphasizing integrity, humility, and service as the foundation for true leadership. "I am dedicated to inspiring young athletes to pursue excellence on the field while anchoring their identity in Christ rather than their performance," Bass said.

She feels blessed beyond measure that God has given her such a strong passion for the game of volleyball and many opportunities to see players succeed. She is energetic and detail-oriented, blending strong fundamentals with advanced strategies that prepare players to succeed at the highest levels. As a passionate coach, she views athletics as an avenue for ministry and character development. Volleyball is a platform to teach life lessons, glorify God, and instill confidence that lasts far beyond the court.

FBCA Director of Athletics Richard Lazarou shared his enthusiasm for Bass’ new role:
