FBCA Welcomes New Head Baseball Coach

Fort Bend Christian Academy is thrilled to announce the appointment of Coach Edwin Maysonet as the school’s new Head Baseball Coach.

As a former Major League Baseball infielder with 10+ years of professional playing experience and nearly a decade of coaching in both professional and elite youth levels, Coach Maysonet brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skill to the coaching staff at FBCA. After finishing his professional career with the Houston Astros and Milwaukee Brewers, he launched his coaching career with the Puerto Rico MLB Development Program as a youth coach and mentor. He then served as the Infield and Hitting Coach with the Milwaukee Brewers Minor League System. Most recently, he has been a leader with the Texas Standard Baseball (formerly Crew Baseball) as a Head Coach.

“I view coaching as a form of discipleship,” said Coach Maysonet. “My goal is to help student-athletes understand that their identity is not rooted in their performance, but in their relationship with God.”

“I have been humbled by Coach Maysonet’s story and his passion for developing young athletes through perseverance, discipleship, and integrity,” said FBCA Director of Athletics Richard Lazarou. “It is evident his faith is the foundation for his life and I believe he will lead our Eagles well.”

FBCA Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff will have the opportunity to meet Coach Maysonet on Thursday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the Eagle Cafe.

Welcome to FBCA, Coach Maysonet!
