Fort Bend Christian Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Coach Ben Hoffmeier as the school’s new Head Football Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator.

Coach Hoffmeier brings 17 years of football coaching experience at multiple levels, including collegiate, UIL and TAPPS. His previous leadership roles include time at Houston Baptist University, Wheaton College, and Jacksonville High School. From 2018 to 2022, he served as head coach at Brazos Christian School, guiding his teams to three consecutive state quarterfinals. In 2016, he was part of a TAPPS state championship coaching staff and was later honored on Dave Campbell’s Texas Football “40 Under 40” list.

“Coach Hoffmeier is a leader of men, first and foremost,” said FBCA Director of Athletics Richard Lazarou. “His passion for Christ, strategic mind, and proven success at building programs make him the ideal leader for our football program.”

Hoffmeier earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Centre College and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Trinity International University. His deep-rooted faith and discipleship-driven coaching style are a strong match for FBCA’s mission to develop Christian student-athletes who pursue excellence in all areas of life.

“My goal is to build a transformational football program,” said Coach Hoffmeier.
“And in doing so, raise a generation that will change the world for Christ by living with power, passion, purpose and production. It’s an honor to join a school where the mission of Jesus is not an afterthought but the foundation.”

Coach Hoffmeier will begin full time at FBCA on April 14. He and his family are relocating to Houston, where his wife was raised.

FBCA Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff will have multiple opportunities to meet Coach Hoffmeier in the coming weeks:

  • April 14 – Student & Football Player Meet and Greet (Community Time – Upper School Gym)

  • April 17 – Community Welcome Night (6 p.m. – MS Cafetorium)

  • April 22 – “Dads, Doctrine & Diagrams” (6 p.m. – Field House)

Under Coach Hoffmeier’s leadership, FBCA Football is poised to grow in both athletic achievement and spiritual impact.

Welcome Coach Hoffmeier to FBCA!
