Fort Bend Christian Academy is proud to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2025: Katherine Trinh and Farrah Childs. These two exceptional young women have exemplified academic excellence, servant leadership, and a commitment to spiritual and personal growth during their time at FBCA.

Valedictorian – Katherine Trinh

Katherine Trinh has attended Fort Bend Christian Academy since Kindergarten, making her a proud FBCA “lifer." Throughout her Upper School career, Katherine has been a shining example of what it means to lead with integrity, compete with determination, and serve with a joyful heart.

A scholar and student-leader, Katherine holds multiple leadership positions, including President of the Interact Club, Vice President of both Mu Alpha Theta and the Multicultural Club, and Captain of the Varsity Softball Team.

Katherine’s academic resume includes several Academic Excellence Awards in Honors Geometry, Chemistry, ASL III, and Pre-Calculus. As a senior, she earned the prestigious FBCA Distinguished Scholar Award. In athletics, she was recognized by TAPPS with Honorable Mention and Second Team All-District selections across three years in varsity softball. Additionally, her creative talents were acknowledged with a Scholastic Art & Writing Honorable Mention.

Outside the classroom, Katherine served through National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society, supporting organizations such as the Houston Food Bank and Second Mile.

Through FBCA’s Eagle Week tradition, Katherine has traveled to Washington D.C., the Bahamas, Miami, and Costa Rica. One of her favorite memories comes from her sophomore year trip to the Bahamas, where a spontaneous water balloon battle with friends became a moment of joy and laughter.

Following graduation, Katherine will attend the University of Texas at Austin, where she plans to major in Data Science. She hopes to pursue a career as a sports analyst, combining her academic strengths and passion for athletics. Katherine is the daughter of Van Tran and Huy Trinh.

Salutatorian – Farrah Childs

Farrah Childs joined Fort Bend Christian Academy in sixth grade and has made a tremendous impact through her dedication to academics, service, and leadership. A passionate learner and deeply involved student, Farrah has committed herself to excellence across a wide range of disciplines.

Farrah currently serves as President of the Science National Honor Society, Vice President of Mu Alpha Theta, Secretary of the National Honor Society (2023-2024), and is the founder and President of the Staff Appreciation Society. She is also a member of the Medical Club, National English Honor Society, and International Thespian Society. In athletics, Farrah competed in Varsity Cheerleading, Swim, and Tennis, where she served as Captain of the tennis team and Co-Captain of the cheer team.

Her academic accomplishments are numerous, including the Excellence in AP Chemistry Award, Outstanding Theater Award, and recognition as an AP Scholar. She also earned TAPPS accolades as an Academic All-State Cheerleader and a district runner-up in girls doubles tennis for two consecutive years.

Farrah’s heart for service is evident through her work as a Summer Junior Volunteer at Texas Children’s Hospital. There, she supported families and hospital staff with administrative tasks, comforted children in waiting rooms, and helped deliver essential items to ICU families. Among hundreds of student volunteers, she was selected as Volunteer of the Week—an honor that reflects her commitment to compassionate care.

Farrah’s Eagle Week experiences took her to San Antonio, Barcelona, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica. Her favorite memory comes from her senior trip to Costa Rica, where she participated in a home-building project for local families. Presenting the keys to the finished homes in a heartfelt ceremony was, for Farrah, an unforgettable and life-changing moment.

Farrah will attend the University of Texas at Austin to study Biochemistry, with aspirations to become a pediatric emergency medicine doctor. Academic success runs in the Childs family, as her sister, Whitney, was the Class of 2023 Valedictorian. She is the daughter of Matt and Jody Childs.
