FBCA Students Named “Top Young Artists” at the 88th Annual Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo

FBCA Art Students were recently awarded by the 88th Annual Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo as top young artists in the 2024 School Youth Art Competition. Lower, Middle, and Upper School art students exhibited 94 pieces of artwork in this year's youth art competition that were on display at the county fairgrounds.

This year's student honorees who won Rosettes were in the following categories: Mixed Media, Painting, and Sculpture.

Senior, Maya-Maria Willis Outstanding Rosette, Oil Painting 

Senior, Helina Zhang Best of Show Rosette, Oil Panting 

Junior, Aislinn Molinos Outstanding Rosette, Mixed Media 

Junior, Brooklyn Moderhak Outstanding Rosette, Sculpture 

Sophomore, Trevor Robertson Best of Show Rosette, Oil Panting 

Other students who won various awards include:

Our art entries from all divisions represent the extraordinary range of creative expression that celebrates this year's theme Defying Challenges, Raising Champions,” FBCA Director of Fine Arts and Art Teacher, Robert Sanders said. “Thank you to all of our impressive FBCA art teachers (Ms. Kimberly Suenkel, Mrs. Sandra De la Rosa, and Mr. Ryan Baptiste) and artists for their work in participating in one of this area's signature exhibitions and celebrations. We are thankful for the continued support that the Fort Bend County Fair gives to young artists in the Texas arts community.”
