Course Guide
College Counseling and Academic Advising
Academic advisors work with students to create individualized four-year plans and aid students in selecting courses that match their academic needs and future goals. Throughout the year, advisors meet with students to assess their workload and performance to ensure successful transitions into the next grade level.
4 Years of Support
College Counseling provides comprehensive advising to students through programming including college fairs, regular on-campus college representatives, grade-level information sessions, and individual sessions. Students are assigned to one of two FBCA college counselors during their junior year that walk students and families through every stage of the college admissions process from list building, essay editing, application submission, and final decision counseling to find the best fit for each student.
How We Build Community
Eagle Week
Every spring, Upper School students participate in Eagle Week, a unique opportunity to serve locally, nationally or internationally to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of communities around the world.
Clubs & Student Life
The Upper School offers more than 25 clubs that are student-led and encompass a variety of interests. FBCA also has eight honor societies that qualified students are invited to join. In addition to clubs, selected students serve as members of the Student Leadership Team, where they are a direct liaison between the student body and faculty/staff.
