Test Dates

Now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year. All testing and application fees are non-refundable.

All applicants must take an admissions test to be considered for enrollment at FBCA. Scores are considered as only one piece of the overall application packet which will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Specific tests administered are subject to change. Contact our Admissions Department, 281-263-9175, for upcoming 2017 test dates.

Admissions Test for Pre-K – 4:

The testing fee for applicants seeking admission to grades PK through 4 is included in the Application Fee and is paid when the Online Application is submitted. Once the application is submitted successfully, applicants will receive a confirmation email with a link to select/register for your test date.

Pre-K:  Applicants will take the Lollipop Test, a Pre-Kindergarten readiness assessment, and results will be considered in conjunction with group observations.

Kindergarten:  Applicants will take the Kindergarten Diagnostic Instrument Test (KDI-2), a developmental readiness test designed for children ages 4-6, and results will be considered in conjunction with group observations.

Grade 1:  Applicants will take the grade-level appropriate Stanford Achievement Test.

Grades 2 – 4:  Applicants will take the grade-level appropriate Iowa Test of Basic Skills.

Admissions Test for 5 - 12:

Grades 5 – 12:  Applicants will take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam), a competitive test utilized by independent schools whose student populations are generally high-achievers. Scores are compared with a reference group of all students who have tested for the same grade over the previous three years. 

Register for the ISEE at www.iseetest.org:  FBCA school code - 447601. The fee is $105.00 and is paid directly to ERB; late fees apply if registering less than three weeks prior to the selected date. The ISEE Operations Office will send a Verification Letter confirming a seat at the test site which should be brought to testing along with a valid ID. The Verification Letter will list the check-in and start times for the test. Without this letter, the selected testing date and site are not confirmed. If the Verification Letter is not received within two weeks of registering, contact ERB directly at 800-446-0320. Openings vary by school and test date; contact the individual test site for information.

The Board of Trustees recognizes that tuition is a sacrifice for many of our families; every family in the school is important to us. If needed, please prayerfully consider applying for financial aid for the 2018-2019 school year.
