2021-2022 Admissions Dates and Deadlines:
  • Admissions Priority Date- January 29, 2021
    *
    Applications will be accepted after January 29 until spaces are filled for each grade. 
  • Decisions Released to Families- March 12, 2021
  • Houston Area Independent Schools (HAIS) Common Reply Date- April 7, 2021

Steps to Admissions

Lower School

List of 2 items.

  • PreK/Four - Kindergarten

    All PreK-4 applicants must be 4 years old by August 1, 2021. All Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by August 1, 2 021.
    1. Submit an online application and $100.00 application fee by clicking on the ‘Apply Now’ button. (Admissions Priority Date is January 29).
    2. Submit one (1) Teacher Recommendation.
    3. For Kindergarten applicants only, copies of progress reports or grades from your child’s pre-school (if any documents are available). 
    4. Admissions Observation and Testing: Applicants will attend an observation day on a designated Saturday in Spring 2021. During this time, the child will be tested, interviewed, and observed in mock classroom environments by members of our Lower School faculty and staff. Exact Dates are TBD. Parents will accompany their children and will be interviewed by members of our Lower School School Administration. The in-house assessment for Fort Bend Christian Academy readiness is not able to be shared with other schools. There is no testing fee for this option. Students will stay for a scheduled visit day following the in-house assessment.
  • Grade 1-4

    1. Submit an online application and $100.00 application fee by clicking on the ‘Apply Now’ button. (Admissions Priority Date is January 29).
    2. Submit one (1) Teacher Recommendation.
    3. Grades from the current school year and previous two (2) years (if applicable). If your school requires a transcript release form, please find it HERE.
    4. Testing and Observation Day will be required. More information will be provided as the semester progresses. These dates will be held in Spring 2021. Parents will accompany their children and will be interviewed by members of our Lower School Administration.

Middle School

  • Grades 5 - 8

    1. Submit an online application and $100.00 application fee by clicking on the ‘Apply Now’ button. (Admissions Priority Date is January 29).
    2. Three recommendation forms must be completed: Math, English and Extracurricular. The Extracurricular recommendation can come from a pastor, church leader, coach, employer, drama/theater teacher/coach, volunteer supervisor, etc. who can speak to your child’s life outside of the classroom and school. You also have the option to send each required recommendation form directly to the recommender via the MyFBCA parent portal. 
    3. Grades from the current school year and previous two (2) years (if applicable). If your school requires a transcript release form, please find it HERE.
    4. A 500 Word Handwritten Essay answering one of the following prompts: 
      • Tell the Admissions Committee about a time you failed. What did you do and what did you learn?
      • What is something you wish the Admissions Committee knew about you and why?
      • Tell us about the latest trip you have been on with your school or your family. Where did you go? What did you do? What did you learn about yourself?
    5. Testing will not be required by Fort Bend Christian Academy this year. However, if you want to submit your child’s test scores to FBCA, please feel free to upload them to their MyFBCA portal to be considered in their admissions review.
    6. In lieu of testing, students are encouraged to submit a digital portfolio using any method or combination of methods, including video, photos, podcasts, and/or work samples. You can submit your child’s portfolio to admissions@fortbendchristian.org. The portfolio should tell the Admissions Committee something the student wants us to know about them that cannot be discovered in other items submitted to FBCA. 

    Once all of the above items are submitted to FBCA, the Admissions Office will reach out to you about scheduling an interview with the Middle School Administration.

Upper School

  • Grades 9 - 12

    1. Submit an online application and $100.00 application fee by clicking on the ‘apply now’ button. (Admissions Priority Date is January 29).
