Athlete Signs to Play Basketball at Ivy League School
Chuks Uzoka committed to play basketball at Cornell University, an Ivy League institution in Ithaca, New York.
The student athlete played basketball at FBCA for two years and has six years of experience. His favorite memories include traveling around the country with AAU teams and making it to the State Final Four playoffs as an FBCA Eagle. His accolades include District MVP, two-time 1st team All-District, 1st Team All State, 1st team All-State Tournament and two-time Academic All-State.
“I’d like to thank God above for everything else, because without Him, none of this would be possible,” Chuks said. “I want to thank my parents for instilling in me the character and discipline to do the best I can. I must also thank my friends, family and teammates for supporting me all along the way. Last but not least, I want to thank Coach Scooter for all the long hours you sacrificed in order to get me where I am now.”
More than 100 FBCA athletes have signed national letters of intent to play at the collegiate level.
