FBCA Coach Named Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Fort Bend Christian Academy Assistant Athletic Director and Coach, Deon Minor, on being named the TAPPS 5A Male Coach of the Year!
(June 14, 2022) Congratulations to Fort Bend Christian Academy Assistant Athletic Director and Coach, Deon Minor, on being named the TAPPS 5A Male Coach of the Year! Known as the “Edd Burleson Leadership Award,” this award is presented annually to the male and female coaches of the year who have been nominated by TAPPS member schools and selected by TAPPS leadership.

Coach Minor said, "This track season has been one for the ages! With team District, Regional, and State titles, and individual awards, including watching my daughter (Bayleigh) win 5 gold medals at the State meet and being named Female Athlete of the Year in T&F, I could not be prouder of our Eagles. Now, the TAPPS 5A Private School Coach of the Year award is the icing on the cake. I’m truly honored and I thank God for giving me the gifts to coach. I am also thankful for the incredible athletes here at FBCA who have allowed me to pour my track expertise into them and do what I most love to do...COACH."

We are thankful for Coach Minor’s leadership, dedication, and mentorship to our student athletes. We are excited to see what is next for FBCA Track and Field in the 2022-23 season!
