Lower and Middle School Students Advance to State at PSIA Competition

On March 4, a group of Lower and Middle school students competed in the Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) District meet, and FBCA was well represented! Students competed against other area private schools in various subjects including spelling, writing, science, drawing and more. Eleven students are advancing to the State competition at TCU in April. 

Lower School:
Layla Hellman - 1st place, 1st Grade Creative Writing
Molly Brennan - 2nd place, 4th Grade Poetry Interpretation
Elaine Xi - 1st place, 4th Grade Ready Writing
Nathan Lee - 1st place, 2nd Grade Spelling
Weston Ward - 2nd place, 2nd Grade Spelling
Kendrick Bassey - 1st place, 4th grade Spelling
Zara Ashiofu - 2nd place, 4th grade Spelling

Middle School:
JD Anderson - 2nd place, Vocabulary 7-8; 1st place, Modern Oratory 7-8
Rachel Benjamin - 1st place, Spelling 7-8; 1st place, Vocabulary 7-8
Page Henley - 2nd place, Maps, Graphs, and Charts
Cierra Spraggon - 2nd place, On-Site Drawing
