Congratulations to Junior Sara Sanchez whose piece was selected for the second time to be in the Southern Teachers Calendar for 2023-24!

Sara's artwork was chosen out of 500 entries to be included in the calendar that will be sent to hundreds of independent schools. Way to go, Sara!

About the Student Art Contest -

Founded in 1902, Southern Teachers Agency is the oldest teacher-placement service in America. We have served private & independent schools and educators in the South for more than a century.

At Southern Teachers, we believe that teaching the fine arts is fundamentally important to the overall education of children. Art teachers develop in their students not only an aesthetic sense and technical abilities, but also creativity and imagination, which are essential talents in our ever-changing world.

We are looking for original two-dimensional artwork from your students in grades 8-12. STA will select twelve pictures for publication in the art calendar and on our web site. In July, the calendar will be sent to more than two thousand private & independent schools around the country, making this a wonderful opportunity to showcase your students’ artistic talents.

The twelve winning student artists will receive five copies of the calendar and $100 in gift certificates for art supplies.

The Southern Teachers Art Calendar celebrates southern independent schools and their talented students. Please encourage your aspiring artists to submit their creations!
