FBCA Band Director Earned a Summer Residency Chair with Prestigious Orchestra

FBCA Band Director, Marquis Wincher, recently returned to FBCA after spending several weeks at the Prisma Festival & Academy in Powell River, BC, Canada, as well as the Festival Napa Valley in Napa Valley, California. Mr. Wincher auditioned and was selected as a member of both festival orchestras. During his residency, he performed in several chamber music ensembles, as well as studied with and performed alongside faculty from some of the top orchestras in the world.

"I had a wonderful time at both the Prisma Festival & Academy as well as Festival Napa Valley. As a music educator I believe it is important to challenge myself and always be a student of music. I am always seeking inspiration that can be passed on to my students," Wincher said.

We are proud of you Mr. Wincher for constantly cultivating your musicianship and sharing the skills you've gained with our FBCA students!
