Face Coverings

In accordance with Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order, effective June 05, 2021, students, faculty and staff, parents, and visitors will no longer be required to wear masks in schools.  However, any individual may wear a mask if they choose to do so. Personal choice about mask wearing is to be respected at all times by all students, faculty and staff members, parents, and visitors.

As of July 27, 2021, the CDC recommended that everyone in kindergarten through grade 12 wear a face covering indoors.  This would include teachers, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.  This recommendation is for schools located in areas of substantial and high transmission.  As of today, Fort Bend County’s COVID-19 community risk level stands at “low/moderate community risk.”  While face coverings are not required at FBCA, this precaution is encouraged for students, faculty and staff members, parents and visitors that are not vaccinated.
