In addition to the varsity boys earning the district championship, the varsity girls placed third, and middle school girls also earned the district champship for the second year in a row.
Connor B, a three-sport athlete with a high GPA, was proud to win, but he said that he had to work hard and use his time wisely.
"In order to stay balanced, I get ahead on my work and study a few days before the quiz or test so I don't have to worry about cramming my work in before a competition," Connor said. "One way that helps me manage my time is having a study hall class. I first started cross country in sixth grade, and my coaches, teachers and friends always motivate me to reach my full potential on the field, court or in the classroom."
