Robert Sanders, upper school teacher, has built Fort Bend Christian Academy’s art program into one of the best in Texas, but he has also earned professional success as well. His work was recently selected to be part of the 2019 Rising Eyes of Texas Exhibition at Rockport Center for the Arts.
Rising Eyes showcases talented artists across the state of Texas. From Armarillo to Brownsville, the participating art students are recognized as the up-and-coming stars of the art world. Hosted by Rockport Center for the Arts, located in the coastal art community of Rockport, TX, the exhibition runs March 8-31, with a reception an awards ceremony on March 16. At the awards ceremony, juror Hollis Hammonds, Visual Arts chair of St. Edward's University, will select prizewinners from the show.

Sanders’ metal 14 x 45 x 40 piece, "The Sufficiency Of Not Much," is based on John 7.
